Winter Travel in the Pacific Northwest

Winter is upon us in the Pacific Northwest and usually that means turning your travel to warmer weather. We recommend that this year you do something different and head to the lush evergreens of the Pacific Northwest for a change in your scenery. Here are just a few of the reasons why we think a winter trip to Oregon is worth your while!

  • Take in a basketball game at the Matthew Knight Arena, home of the University of Oregon Duck's Men’s Basketball Team.
  • Less than an hour's drive away is amazing skiing, snowboarding and tubing at Willamette Pass . Don't feel like driving? The Willamette Pass Express Shuttle picks up nearby.
  • Take a day trip to the Oregon Coast where amazing sights and adventures await including the Oregon Coast Aquarium, Heceta Head Light House, and the Sea Lion Caves.

  • Whale Watch & Storm Watch- Winter is the peak season for winter whale watching on the Oregon Coast, as spouting mammoth gray whales embark on their southern migration. Nature hobbyists and storm chasers also relish winter storm watching, with its huge thundering waves and dramatic skies. The Oregon Coast is known for its gusty winds and rolling fog banks.
